I was looking for breakfast recipes on the Tasty Kitchen website the other day and came across this chocolate croissant recipe. It could actually be a dessert or a really decadent breakfast. I recommend it either way!
I try to make something special for breakfast each weekend because during the week I usually just get a coffee and english muffin to go and don't really take the time to enjoy the meal.
Here's the recipe:
- 1 container refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 ounce can)
- 1 bag miniature chocolate chips (12 ounce bag, divided use)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for sprinkling)
Separate crescent rolls and lay them out flat on your work surface. Put approximately 1 tablespoon of miniature chocolate chips in the wide end of each crescent roll. Roll up the dough, place on a baking sheet and bake as package instructions say.
Cool the rolls. Then melt 1 additional cup of chocolate chips. Either pipe or drizzle the chocolate over the tops of the croissants. Dust with powdered sugar.
